Hi, It's me Janet(without the camera) from Plot 2. I spoke with Phil our Secretary today and put forward some suggestions one for possible funding and the other a conservation and sharing idea.
Idea 1 - a competition (lighthearted) mainly for kids or kids at heart, create a scarecrow, as unusual as one can be or traditional(that's good).
Idea 2 - seed bank, mainly wild flowers but anything would be good. I have always propogated from seed when I can, but after seeing Gardners World and the River of flowers I thought this could be used on the allotment. A small corner of each plot could be designated to wild flowers, helping the bees along a sort of motorway all around the allotment.
What do you think everyone? If you agree then the time for collectiong the seeds is nigh.
I asked Phil to put these ideas forward but then I saw your blog so I thought I would say hello and put forward my suggestions.
